Nature’s Blend Grits with Blueberries and Caramelized Bananas
3/4 cup Nature Blend Grits
1 cup Whole Fat Coconut Milk
1 1/4 cup Filtered Water
1 Teaspoon Local Honey
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 tablespoon salted Butter
1 to 2 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
Pour Coconut Milk and Water into pot and stir well. Add Nature’s Blend Grits and give another good stir and bring to a soft boil. Place lid on pot and bring down to a low simmer for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove from heat leaving lid in place for 5 to 10 minutes more.
While the Grits are resting, place the butter in a pan to melt. While the butter is melting, slice the banana in thick slices (should make around 8 to 10 slices) then when butter is completely melted add Bananas. After one minute, flip the Banana’s over to brown on other side. When Bananas are a golden brown on both sides, pour the Maple Syrup over the Bananas then turn off heat. The Maple Syrup with thicken up and caramelize the Bananas.
Take the lid off the Nature’s Blend Grits and add Vanilla and Honey. Place Grits in a pretty bowl and top off with the Caramelized Bananas and Blueberries.
